And Support Them
BITCHES – I have been handling & showing Rottweilers since 1969. May I just say about the handling of the exhibits, I did have a few problems. It is extremely difficult as a judge to assess the mouth & teeth when the owner seems to have to bend forward to look at the exact same time. Surely you all know your dog’s mouth & have no need to crack heads with the judge of the day.
These dogs do need training at home to stand to be examined & touched. I know the bad weather conditions has made exercising difficult, but many dogs were unfit in my entry. One beautiful bitch had sores on her legs & feet which made me sad to see. I asked why & was told it was snow. So, please remember to wash the feet & legs to remove salt & grit & use a good repellent such as baby cream on legs & feet in bad weather to protect them.
All the winners had perfect mouths. I am pleased to say shoulders have improved, those awful unhealthy upright arms are less. I won’t go on about size, we all know how much we have lost. Please do watch these feet. An army marches on its feet. Stifles look stronger. Handling is a joke. How would you all manage without bait? Training at home would be good here.
