The quality of the dogs was extremely mixed, temperaments however were uniformly acceptable. The condition of the majority of animals was poor, too soft, with feet not helped by long nails; these are two things that are not dependent on anything except hard work.
MPD (6,1a) 1 Benstead’s Carsal Gringo, attractive baby, level topline, good feet, overall shape very promising, really excellent tan/eye colour. Moved well if a little loose all over. BP & PG4; 2 Perks’ Dromnagus Breakin All Rules, good overall shape. Coat slightly soft, movement loose, pinning in front; 3 Osborne’s Tianko Run What You Brung.
PD (9,2) 1 Watts & Gibbard’s Jezeve Gob Stopper, well grown, excellent overall shape, very well muscled at rear (one of the few), good tan. Coat a bit short & lacking undercoat. Moved quite well; 2 Trueman & Brownbridge’s Jezeve Sherbert, litter brother of 1, similar remarks apply. Coat a bit short & slightly wavy; 3 D Breakin All The Rules.
JD (3,1) 1 Basford’s Diesters Vice Squad for Ionides, well grown, typical head & expression, moved with drive. Topline still a little soft at times; 2 Howell’s Patragarth Captain Jack of Overfinch, medium size, movement very fast but lacks power & drive. Topline soft when moving. GD (2) 1 Lee’s Chapmeek Jamaican Rhythm avec Leebee, large youngster, well muscled rearend, typical head, eye medium/light, moved fairly well. Close behind; 2 Davies & Willet’s Oakprides Final Stand at Skiory, rather dark, eye round. Average bone. Moved close behind & with little drive.
YD (8,5) 1 Dunhill’s Fantasa Punk Rock, large, solid, well boned youngster, dark eye, pleasing head, harsh coat, excellent colouring. Moved freely, a little close behind; 2 Powell’s Rottwuds Whole Lotta Luv, medium dog, very muscular, harsh coat. Lacking undercoat. Moved well, very dark smutty tan; 3 Coleman’s Jhava Latest Flame.
PGD (7,5) 1 Cambridge’s Dortmund Dirty Dave from Jacawaca, medium size, well muscled, dark eye, pleasing head, well proportioned harsh coat. Once settled moved with purpose & drive. Balanced bone, decent feet. RCC; 2 Hanson’s Estalea Dallas Cowboy, medium size, typical head, harsh coat, moved fairly well. Little uncertain at front.
LD (7,2) 1 Rekert’s Biko von Quellen der Deome at Newgen, good size, harsh coat, very clean outline, attractive head, excellent dark eyes of correct shape, movement very free & flowing, extremely muscular. Could use a little more bone & socialising; 2 Gibson’s Dominatus James Dean Diester, very different type from 1. Well muscled, stocky, moved with great drive. Head a shade overdone. Eye medium. Little close behind; 3 Richard’s Newgen Rogu at Ruiz.
OD (10,5) 1 Lockyer’s Guardami Pal Joey, compact, short coupled dog, harsh coat, slight wave, dark eye, masculine head, level topline maintained on the move, good underline, well muscled, moved very freely, one of the few dogs with a calm stalwart gaze. CC, BOB & G3; 2 Hills’ Ch Imor von der Blockhutte mit Juffther, well muscled, strong dog, harsh coat, good topline, dark eye, slightly round, mottled mouth pigment, very masculine, moved with drive. Pins slightly; 3 Gibson’s Ch Dominatus Fire And Ice.
MPB (9,2) 1 Clark’s Dortmund Delightful Dotty, confident little bitch, attractive head, excellent dark eye, topline good for age, moved quite well; 2 Clark’s Tianko Ticked Pink von Dortmund, well boned, full harsh coat, a little wavy. Attractive head, level topline. Movement quite good but loose at this age; 3 Perks’ Dromnagus Great Pretender.
PB (7,2) 1 Bond’s Scanian Syd Charrise at Bondzys, well made bitch, attractive typical head, dark eye, good bone & feet, excellent underline, moved well; 2 Hopgood’s Saint Sythans Louise, clean outline, thick slightly short coat. Soft right ear. Moved quite well, excellent tail; 3 Benstead’s Carsal Fenella.
JB (11,3) 1 Window’s Hanbar Ismay, very nice size & shape, good bone & pigment, harsh coat. Lacking undercoat. Excellent dark eye, moved well. Not looking her best; 2 Dunhill & Rose’s Fantasa Red Chili, strong bitch, medium slightly round eye, good top & underline, moved fairly well; 3 Barnes’ Gyrima Drama Queen.
YB (7,3) 1 McClure’s Fantasa Rock Chick, compact, strong bitch, coarse harsh coat, dark eye. Head a bit overdone. Moved well; 2 Diamond’s Estalea My Girl, large strong bitch, dark eye. Coarse coat slightly short & no undercoat. Dark eye, moved reasonably; 3 Weber’s Warrimead Oxanna.
GB (5,3) 1 S Lythans Louise; 2 Perks’ Jimeva Ultimate Temptation for Dromnagus, pleasant bitch, good mouth pigment, dark eye, harsh coat, moved fairly well. Feet not fantastic.
PGB (3,1) 1 Davison’s Riviere de Diamant avec Firemoon, strong bitch, level topline, pleasant head, moved fairly well; 2 Graley’s Chislaine Gold Band, medium size. Head spoiled by ears. Level top & underlines. Movement poor.
LB (12,3) 1 Hill’s Juffther Sweet Dream, good size, attractive head, feminine, excellent colouring, well muscled, moved well. Coat a little short. RCC; 2 Osborne’s Gracezheim Stroller at Tianko, strong bitch, excellent colour, good head. Eye a little round. Level top & underline, moved well; 3 Watts & Gibbard’s Jezeve Obcession.
OB (11,7) 1 Bramwell & Brooks’ Paloduro Lady Madonna, good size feminine bitch, desired substance & bone, excellent overall shape & proportions, clean outline, dark eye, attractive head, moved well. CC; 2 Adams’ Ch Jhava Stop Look N’Listen, small/medium compact feminine bitch, dark eye, excellent topline, moved well; 3 Lockyer’s Gyrima Angel Delight at Guardami.
